



LESLIE CORBETT,
who captured Whatcom County vistas and ocean views.
Leslie Corbett was born on Feb. 9, 1882, in Grand Island, Nebraska. He died on May 13, 1938, in Bellingham, Washington. Little is known of his life. Corbett married Martha G. Harding, probably in Nebraska. The two had a son, Ralph, and a daughter, Shirley Corbett Graham. During the 1920s Corbett worked in Bellingham as a machinist and a plasterer as well as a photographer. Martha Corbett died of tuberculosis on October 21, 1931. Corbett's son Ralph passed away on November 15, 1932, at the age of 21, also of tuberculosis.
The Leslie Corbett Photograph Collection consists of 72 black and white photographs depicting scenic and town views in Whatcom County, circa 1920s and 1930s.
