Photography Biennial:
Nine to Watch from the Pacific Northwest
December 2, 2007 to April 27, 2008
Whatcom Museum, ARCO BuildingFrom depictions of the austere Arctic landscape to humorous vignettes featuring classic toys, the Whatcom Museum of History & Art presents a glimpse of the wide variety of photography currently being created in the Pacific Northwest. Spotlighting the work of nine diverse talents, the exhibition is the third installation of this photography biennial, which celebrates the photography of our region. Variety in subject, composition, technique, and media characterize the current state of photographic practice in the Northwest. This exhibition demonstrates this diversity by including work from a carefully considered group of regional artists including Roberta Holden, Rose Bouthillier, Matt Booth, Jody Rogac, Tim Roda, Grace Weston, Preston Wadley, Robert Tomlinson, and Michelle Bates.
