This exhibit will allow children to explore structures that animals and humans have designed to provide shelter for themselves and their communities. Children will observe how human architecture is affected by surroundings, the need for protection from the elements, cultural identity and artistic expression. Animal homes will show that form follows function and that many provide the models for human architectural designs. Sponsored by CB Wholesale, Key Foundation funded by KeyBank, RBC Dain Rauscher, The Bellingham Herald, Ross McClure Cornwell Architects, Washington Mutual and Whatcom Educational Credit Union. Additional support provided by employees of Starbucks and KeyBank, Whatcom County.
