The Northwest Designer Craftsmen (NWDC) organization has been an important voice for American crafts in the Pacific Northwest for five decades. To commemorate their 50th anniversary, the Whatcom Museum will partner with NWDC to present an in-depth exhibition of works by member artists. Guest-curated by Lloyd Herman, a distinguished authority on the contemporary craft movement in the United States, the exhibition will feature over 100 contemporary and historical works by NWDC artist members from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. Jewelry, furniture, fiber arts, ceramics, and glass will be among the wide range of media presented by participating artists. Sponsored by People’s Bank.
