Take a photographic journey through the taverns and breweries of early Bellingham. The 1905–06 Polk directory listed 62 saloons in the newly incorporated city. This is double number listed throughout Whatcom County today. Rising above them all, the Bellingham Bay Brewery was touted as "the finest brewery west of Chicago."
