An Artful Experience

ARCO Exhibitions GalleryOpening Oct. 1 and continuing through Oct. 29, 2006, the Whatcom Museum of History & Art hosts a unique art sale and exhibition titled Art + All That Jazz in the Museum’s ARCO Exhibitions Gallery. Now in its third year, Art + All That Jazz presents an exceptional variety of photographs, paintings, sculptures, prints, glass, textiles and jewelry by 85 Pacific Northwest artists. Admission to the exhibition is free to the public, with proceeds from the sale to benefit the Museum’s annual exhibition programming. A full exhibition catalogue accompanies the event (available in early Sept.).
The exhibition opens with a preview reception and on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 7 - 9 p.m. Tickets to the event are $25 per person, and includes an exhibition catalogue. The opening also includes hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine. This is the first opportunity to view and purchase artwork at a 10 percent savings over regular gallery prices.
A gala celebration including live jazz by The Ray Downey Trio will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person, which includes a free ticket to the Sept. 30 opening reception and an exhibition catalogue. The evening features fine food prepared by Ciao Thyme, complimentary wines and live music, as well as a much-anticipated silent auction of original platters created by a local artists.
