July 12 – 23: Cartography Creations—Discover the kinds of technology that early explorers used to produce maps and then try your hand at cartography, or mapmaking.
July 26 – 30: Cedar to Sea: Coast Salish Canoes—Carved from western red cedar trees, canoe-making is an important tradition of Pacific Northwest Coast tribes. Learn why Coast Salish canoes are considered among the best engineered in the world, while constructing a paper canoe.
