Children and their guardians/parents are invited to explore an assortment of craft-making materials to paint, color, cut, draw, or sculpt an imaginative work of art. For an added sensory experience, dig your hands into our sea creature sandbox. For all ages; Included with admission/Members free.
March 1 – 12: A Weaving Made by You—Many clothes, blankets, and other objects that you use in everyday life are created through weaving. Learn about the weaving process and choose your materials, colors, and patterns to make a unique piece of fiber art.
March 15 – 26: Clay Play—Squeeze, poke, and mold. Roll, pinch, and form. Through exploration and experimentation, gain familiarity with the unique properties of this sculptural material.
March 29 – 30: Build a Bug—Choose from a number of paper shapes to collage together a bug, real or imagined. Does your bug have wings? Or antennae? Does your bug have stripes or spots? The possibilities are endless!
